Have you noticed all the media hype about the Internet and World Wide Web? To hear them tell it, you can buy virtually anything - even a home right from your computer. In fact over 80% of Home buyers now start their searches on the Internet.

But wait! Are you willing to make the purchase of a lifetime - your next home - without seeing it first in real-time? Imagine calling up cyberspace "virtual images" images of a home and saying, "I'll take that one. The one trimmed in blue pixels!" Somehow I think it unlikely.

Does that mean you should avoid looking at homes on the Internet? Certainly not! The World Wide Web can provide you with a wonderful preview of homes for sale. You might even make notes with regard to location, price, etc. on homes of interest.

Regardless, your first move into the buying process will still be the choice of an agent to assist you. Make your choice based on traditional benchmarks of excellence such as experience, training, and commitment to the achievement of your objectives. Look for cyberspace savvy as well. The World Wide Web can speed up your home search, with the agent offering traditional services such as mortgage assistance, paperwork follow-up and more.

Once you've established contact with an agent, you can begin the real-time search for your new home. Expect to see a variety of homes, then compare and define the best value.
